Framework

The framework of cooperation on TWRM (Transboundary Water Resources Management) in the Southeastern Europe (SEE) involves major technical processes and programs, legal instruments and strategic partnerships.

Several frameworks for cooperation have been established to assist countries in developing substantial dialogue. The frameworks are tools that may be used in SEE by national authorities, national and international organizations and other stakeholders to set the basis of cooperation on water management.

  • These tools:
  • include legal instruments, technical processes and strategic partnerships
  • are based on the fact that water is a valuable asset to each country's economic development, social welfare and environmental wealth.
  • lay the ground for the regional dialogue on Transboundary Waters Resources Management.
